Palestinian flag to be raised at United Nations

The Palestinian flag is to be raised for the first time at the United Nations later in what the Palestinian leader says will be "a most emotional and proud day".
Earlier this month, the UN General Assembly passed a motion to raise the Palestinian and Vatican flags.
Israel criticised the move and voted against it, along with the United States and six other countries.

Anyway. No, Palestine does not need "direct negotiations." They are an occupied nation, not a breakaway province.

(20,582 posts)"You won't recognize Canada once I'm through with it" - (paraphrasing the last few words because I can't really be bothered to look up exactly what he said) - but he's right. We used to be known as the world's peacekeepers and leaders for human rights. I HATE what he's done to this country and people all over the world with his warmongering, bigotry and right-wing actions.
This vote is absolutely shameful.
