Man charged with alleged threat to blow up Dem Party offices

Source: Wisconsin State Journal

Federal authorities charged a Madison man Friday with making a telephone threat in February to blow up the offices of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, among more than 100 calls he allegedly placed to the office this year.

William O. Diederich repeatedly threatened to shoot Democrats and those supporting the recall of Gov. Scott Walker in phone calls he made to the Democratic Party's office at 110 King St. in January, February and March, according to an affidavit by FBI agent Joseph Lavelle, filed in U.S. District Court in Madison.

On Feb. 24, the affidavit states, Diederich left a voice mail message stating that when the building explodes, the bombings of Sterling Hall on the UW-Madison campus and the federal building in Oklahoma City will "seem like a firecracker compared to what's gonna happen to you people."

<snip>

During another call, on March 4, Diederich allegedly sang a song advocating that "Bama," presumably President Barack Obama, be shot to death. He also threatened in other calls to shoot any candidates who ran against Walker, and that he would be taking "head shots" at Democrats on the streets around the Capitol. He said during another call that he has a concealed carry permit and that "people better be wearing bulletproof vests."

this story would blow up all over Drudge, Free Republic, The Blaze, Fox News, and even the other TV networks. But this story and the Planned Parenthood firebombing (also in Wisconsin): :crickets: Here's an excellent Thom Hartmann commentary explaining why:

Some people get all their news from one or all of the above mentioned sources. If Fox News says the deficit is too high, they worry, but if they say it's under control, they're happy. They left Fox tell them what to worry about.

re terror threats \ incidents from our two main political parties:

Governor Walker (repug-WI), says his office never saw that e-mail (by that other repug, from IN).

http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/03/walkers-offi...

"Gov. Scott Walker's (R-WI) staff says that no one on the staff ever read an e-mail sent to them in February by a deputy prosecutor in Johnson County, Ind., which encouraged the Walker administration to stage a "false flag" assault or assassination attempt on Walker in order to discredit unions in the Wisconsin political battle over Walker's anti-public employee union legislation." -- Josh Michael Marshall's blog, 3/25/11.

So either an actual terror threat or incident occurs, and it's the repugs doing it to Dems, or a fake 'threat' or 'incident' occurs, and it's prefabricated by the repugs, and pinned on the Dems.

This piece of work no doubt has gotten away with pushing people around who might not agree with him or oppose him in any fashion. I wonder what else he has done wrong in his miserable life. I could only imagine. The only question I have is why did they wait so long to get this Outstanding American in jail.

and the Right acts like there is no smoke.

The Right wing can put candidates in literal crosshairs, call for "second amendment remedies", pray for Obama to die from churches, and yet, whenever they are called on it, insist that "lone madmen" do this. The media knows these wannabe Nazis are good for buisness, so they let them run free, but one OWS person says a bad word, and all of them are tagged as criminals. This is not an accident.
