Missouri Football Coach Gary Pinkel: Mizzou Family Stands As One
Source: NBC News KSHB 3 hours agp
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Hours after some of his players declared they would strike, Missouri Tigers football head coach Gary Pinkel said the team's staff was behind his players.
"The Mizzou Family stands as one," Pinkel said in a tweet. "We are united. We are behind our players." In Pinkel's tweet, players and coaches - both black and white - can be seen linking arms.
Late Saturday evening, some of the team's black players announced their intentions to strike in an effort to remove University of Missouri System President Tim Wolfe.
