Zimmerman’s Twitter account suspended after naked pics claiming woman cheated on w/"dirty Muslim"
Source: New York Daily News
George Zimmermans Twitter account was suspended Thursday after his social media rants turned into what looked like revenge porn.
The Florida man acquitted in the fatal 2012 shooting of black teen Trayvon Martin posted nude pictures and contact information of a woman he called Heather who he claimed had stolen from him and cheated on him with a dirty Muslim.
Zimmerman, who lists his hometown as Casselberry in the Orlando area, lives in a state that is one of 26 with laws against revenge porn, according to the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative.
The "@TherealGeorgeZ" account showed two different naked photos and an email address for the woman Thursday afternoon.
This is Heather, the first of two tweets about her read. She cheated on me with a dirty Muslim. He added a phone number and told his 15,500 followers, Shell sleep with anyone.

(50,986 posts)his extremely poor judgment. I never accepted his account of the events surrounding the death of Trayvon Martin. And his behavior since that trial has seemed unstable and out of control.
If Florida is one of the states with laws prohibiting revenge porn, might this woman contact an attorney and bring legal action against Zimmerman? A judge might order psychological testing.
From this lay point of view, it's long overdue.

(11,093 posts)and I think he knows it. I wouldn't be surprised if every police interaction resulted in phone calls up and down the chain of command. Obviously the country is split between him being a murderous racist bastard vs. a folk hero, but at some point some prosecutor will go for it and try to put him away. I'd like to say he's being cooperative by giving us lots of opportunities, but unfortunately these are not victimless crimes.

(11,989 posts)That would be the answer to your question. Shell sleep with anyone. Possibly he should assume that's the case with any woman who would sleep with him.

I don't know..I would need a lot of support to keep me from going crazy.
I still cannot get over the mom being questioned by the defense attorney something like...isn't it true that your son was responsible for his own death...I'm sure I remember it wrong, but the questioning seemed like that to me.

That's happening now, particularly with Muslims, so we have to be very careful we don't go further down that path.
Oh, and it works both ways too, in case anyone asks why "they hate us" (aside from the fact that many are under 25 and so we've basically bombed them their whole life).
I think the Internet generally helps in this regard to keep other perspectives open. It took a long time to become comfortable with our traditional enemies (e.g.: Russia) when the only media available dehumanizes them. But now with Internet, TV, and more 24/7 and all kinds of individual conversations and forums, although hate can ramp up fairly quickly, so can understanding. So there's hope, I hope. Of course, not all candidates out there are trying to understand, many are fanning the flames, and Trump in particular is doing so.

(22,802 posts)Gorbachev basically took Russia through the transition from empire back to a single nation. But there had always been exchanges of scientific information. Once the communist party was out of power, foreign music and all kinds of exchanges began to take place, and the tension melted to a remarkable degree. With Putin in power, it is ramping up again, internet or no internet. We made peace with Germany and Japan very smoothly following WWII, largely because we were more scared of the Soviet Union and Communist China. It didn't take the internet for us to become friends and trading partners. In fact, it was probably trade that brought about the most intercultural exchange. People actually get to know each other on a more personal level in face to face meetings and exchanges than on the internet. That's how trust is built. that's on of the beauties of the Peace Corps.
My main point was (I think) that opening of communications through many channels has been a double-edge sword - easier to inflame the base, but also easier to reach across the ocean/whatever. I do agree Putin has been doing his best to get back to the old USSR he seems to be nostalgic for, but open communications has made it easier to see it for what it is, and also harder to sweep things under the rug.
It started long before the Internet (or specifically, the Web), you're right. Gorbachev helped a lot, and a lot of it by immigration and exposure to more multiculturalism. Also, what year was Sting's "Russians love their children too"? Somewhere early 80s, before the fall of the wall. People have been working all angles. I just think today's Internet has made it a major game-changer in situations like these.
