CNN/ORC Poll: Trump alone at the top again

Source: CNN

Donald Trump is once again alone at the top of the Republican field, according to the latest CNN/ORC Poll, with 36% of registered Republicans and Republican-leaning independents behind him, while his nearest competitor trails by 20 points.

Three candidates cluster behind Trump in the mid-teens, including Texas Sen. Ted Cruz at 16%, former neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 14% and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio at 12%. All other candidates have the support of less than 5% of GOP voters in the race for the Republican Party's nomination for president.

Carson (down 8 points since October), former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (down 5 points to 3%) and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (down 4 points to 1%) have lost the most ground since the last CNN/ORC poll, conducted in mid-October.

Cruz (up 12 points) and Trump (up 9 points) are the greatest beneficiaries of those declines. Rubio is also up slightly, gaining 4 points -- an increase within the poll's margin of sampling error -- since the last CNN/ORC poll.

It would be both an electoral college and popular vote landslide.
Please, please let him get the gooper nomination!

If Hillary and Bernie have sorted things out by then, I may vote for Trump in the Republican primary, just to help assure the Republican establishment doesn't find a way to hand the nomination to someone else.

choice. That's where all the money and advertising dollars went. The establishment hates Trump. I'm hearing rumblings about the anti-Trump delegates all getting together to yank the nomination at the convention (boy, that would be fun to watch).

That is when they began to embrace the worst aspects of our national personality in order to pander for votes. It worked, but the Party signed its suicide note by doing so. The GOP will soon to be gone as a political party, and few will mourn its passing.

She's pushing gun control and minimizing economic issues for the working class.

Dems always lose when they push social issues over economic issues.

Damn, it was scary enough a year or so ago thinking that Jeb would likely be the nominee and might-possibly-maybe have a chance to be elected (with a little help from Diebold). But now.... it's downright horrifying trying to imagine Trump, Carson, or Cruz in the White House.

that here is a loudmouth, ignorant, no filter, reality show idiot, making a total mockery of the well educated, long standing, finely tuned arrogant politicians. Note the sarcasm in that statement.

And the best part? It don't matter who they put up there, they are going to lose the election big time. Apparently, with the GOP and the media, it's all about shock and awe. All of them are total idiots!!!

Trump is just showing us what unlimited wealth, celebrity and television can get you in America!

On a positive note.

&quot CNN)—In a Democratic field that has winnowed to just three candidates, Hillary Clinton has regained a dominant lead over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, topping him by a 28-point margin, her widest in CNN/ORC polling since July.

Clinton leads Sanders 58% to 30%, with former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley registering just 2%, according to a CNN/ORC Poll released Friday."
