Supreme Court rejects emergency appeal from California antiabortion group
Source: Los Angeles Times
The Supreme Court on Friday denied an emergency appeal from the California-based antiabortion group behind the secretly recorded videos of Planned Parenthood officials discussing fetal tissue recovery.
The group, known as the Center for Medical Progress, had filed an emergency appeal asking the high court to allow it to keep its list of key donors and supporters confidential.
But Justice Anthony Kennedy, who oversees appeals from California, turned down the request.
... The antiabortion group also argued that its lead investigator, David Daleiden, was a citizen journalist and is entitled to protect the confidentiality of his work and his sources of information. But the judge rejected that claim as well.

These sleazebags are about to get what's coming to them.
You do know the director of PP is Cecile Richards, daughter of former Texas governor Ann Richards -- whose approach to politics was simple: "Take no prisoners."

The phony "Center of Medical Progress" will learn they shouldn't have attacked Cecile Richards.

(6,474 posts)didn't he vote in the majority in Citizen's United. I really think that what is worse than Citizen's United is the lack of transparency in the funding of elections. I could live with unlimited campaign donations if all the rats had to be disclosed

(1,254 posts)CMP filed as a 501(c)4 tax exempt org. which allows you to keep your donors private. Apparently, the IRS has not as yet recognized their status so when they file their report for 2014 they will have to list their donors AND they may not have tax exempt status and will have to pay tax on their contributions. They may end up owing for back taxes too!
