Kerry Warns Israel About Collapse of Palestinian Authority

Secretary of State John Kerry warned Israel on Saturday about the dangers of the possible collapse of the Palestinian Authority, saying it would lead to situation that would threaten the security of Israel and the Palestinian people.

Kerry told a conference at the Brookings Institution that the Palestinian leadership must do more to prevent and combat anti-Israel violence. But he also said Israeli leaders should not advocate or allow the Palestinian Authority to disintegrate. If that were to happen, Kerry said, Israel would be forced to assume all governance in the West Bank and potentially accept a one-state solution that would compromise Israel's future as a democratic, Jewish state.

While condemning the recent surge in anti-Israel violence by Palestinians, Kerry said calls from some Israeli politicians to let Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' administration wither are counter-productive and self-defeating for Israel.

He lamented the fact that Israel continues to approve new construction in Jewish settlements in areas that the Palestinians claim as part of a future state, while denying construction permits for Palestinian projects on territory that would be subject to negotiation in an eventual peace deal.

1. Kerry "laments" the fact that Israel continues its state policy

of land theft and genocide, but the US will of course continue to subsidize the Israeli State so that it can continue the genocide and land theft.

And the US will continue to use its veto power at the UN to prevent any action from being taken against Israel because of its crimes.

2. Israeli apartheid aims to squeeze Palestinians as hard as they can, just shy of a catastrophe.

It's a crime against humanity.

It doesn't matter to Israel how many terrorists the Israelis manufacture in the Palestinian territories. They don't care. They are dead stuck on crush the living daylights out of the people.

Israel has had over 70 years of trying to solve the situation, first with guerilla terrorism and then with violent apartheid, which is really just more of the same but dressed up and institutionalized. One day they will realize it isn't working and won't work. Then and only then might a solution start to emerge.

Stuck on stupid isn't working. Israel needs to get off stupid.

this is the end of Israel. They will have to chose between democracy and a religious state. They are screwed. What a conundrum? Jimmy Carter is right, this is an Apartheid state. When will America wake up?

I think most people would have to agree they have a pretty good idea of what the political and military situation is, even if they don't agree with how they handle those situations.
