PHOENIX - A man was taken to the hospital from the Arizona State Fairgrounds after he was accidentally shot by his friend, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

DPS said a man was inspecting a semi-automatic handgun that he had recently purchased when he accidentally shot his friend in the torso. The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.

The Arizona Exposition and State Fair website says the Crossroads of the West Gun Show is taking place at the fairgrounds this weekend.

Signs outside of the exhibit hall say 'No Loaded Guns' allowed.

You can't bring guns into NRA headquarters. Just the shooting range in the back basement, separate entrance.

Now, if that doesn't tell you something about two-faced policies, ... "Do as I say, not as I do".

guns be in the show.

seriously, how do these hypocrites argue that loaded guns we allowed in Universities but NOT in a gun show?

that pretty much says everything about the integrity of gun lovers everywhere.

Jesus Jake, are you OK?

No I'm not Karl, I'm far from fucking OK. I've got a goddamned hole in my ribs. Shit.

Man that little .380 knocked you on your ass. My bad.

Hurts like hell asshole. Thanks a lot.

I said I'm sorry. Just relax, the ambulance is coming.

Clerk to Karl - Sir I'm going to have to ask you to hand me that pistol now.

Oh yeah. Here it is. Can you have it wrapped for Christmas. This honey of a gun is a ball-buster. Gonna give it to the little lady. It's a great purse gun. A did you see fat Jake flying backwards. Christ but I didn't know the impact would be so good.

Clerk - Yeah, this little gun is a stopper. Inside of 10 feet, two rounds will stop a 300 pound lineman.

Sorry about all the commotion.

Clerk - Don't worry, you're not the first. Cash or charge?

Credit! I'm gonna get 25 red white and blue points for this little beauty!

You will never see a bigger group of uneducated rednecks in your life once you've visited a gun show.

We had at least one similar incident at a gun show here in Michigan. Frankly, it's a great way to thin the herd of gun fetishists.

because she was feeling sick. She had no treatment in the ambulance, it was just transportation to the hospital to get checked out.

Maybe holding the NRA responsible for the hospital and ambulance costs would make an impact? They are rolling in dough while the rest of us are afraid to go shopping at malls, go to movies, or even drive along the street for fear of being caught in the crossfire. Meamwhile politicians hold meetings for donors, where no guns are allowed. What are THEY afraid of?

to exempt themselves and their death-tool patrons from facing responsibility for their behavior.

Another case where the hypocritical repukes don't think their Culture of Responsibility™ should apply to themselves or their corporate sponsors.

They have to be to avoid product liability lawsuits.

I don't believe in accidental discharges. If you load a gun, cock the hammer, remove the safety and pull the trigger, it's going to function exactly as it was designed to. All four of these steps require a deliberate human action.

A sign that stipulated "No Idiots Allowed" would have been more to the point, but this guy would have still walked in with a round in the chamber.

I'm not afraid of guns unless someone has one in their hand.
