Elizabeth Warren noncommittal on primary endorsement, but praises Bernie Sanders

Source: Boston.com

By Nik DeCosta-Klipa

Hillary Clinton was endorsed for president last Monday by every female Democratic senator, with one major exception: Elizabeth Warren.

The progressive Massachusetts senator, who has withheld her coveted endorsement, was asked about that Friday night by the Boston Herald’s Chris Cassidy at a holiday lighting ceremony in Melrose.

“It’s just not time for me to do that yet,” Warren told Cassidy, adding that she doesn’t know when she might make an endorsement. She also rejected Cassidy’s suggestion that Clinton’s primary rival, Bernie Sanders, was losing popularity.

“Bernie is doing what Bernie always does — he’s out there talking from the heart, raising the issues that he’s raised for decades now,” Warren said. “That’s just who he is.”

Clearly, after she urged Hillary to run, she wants to keep that cash flow coming.

And clearly when Hillary is our nominee in a few weeks, she will endorse her, gladly.

Her making an endorsement as an endorsement for Sanders. She will probably make her endorsement somewhere around her state primary.

Bernie Sanders was also a guest on Al Franken's radio show before he became a Senator. I'm glad all 3 of them are now Senators.

Warren is Highly popular among progressives and women. She is a great asset to getting donations from the people. But you must try to brush her off as you have tried and failed to do with Bernie. I note she says Bernie ids Bernie, implying he is consistent. She has praised some things about Hillary in past, and has criticized some things about Hillary in more recent history. I do not believe she has ever criticized Bernie, has sdhe? Warren coming out to support Bernie would really be a blow to Hillary, whose backers continue their diatribe that Bernie iss not a democrat. If Warren as a beloved woman democrat backs Bernie, the lie to that claim will be obvious. Thank you Elizabeth Warren. Now is the time for all good women and men to come to the aid of their country. Thank you Jimmy Carter. Go Bernie!

Elizabeth has been speaking up and now you want her to remain silent on who she supports and why? You are obviously not Warren's friend to ask her to change who she is. Your support of Hillary is smelling in your post.
Go Bernie!

She may have mixed feelings (like many of us). She may also want to not soil the mantle she has earned through hard work. Maintaining integrity. That's certainly her prerogative.

rather than you protect Hillary. If it is her prerogative, why are you trying to influence her . She is intelligent and a fighter. I want that and staying out of the fray is not fighting and against her true nature. Bernie people by the way really do not have mixed feelings. They are against the oligarchy and its supporters. What is the basis of your mixed feelings? Are you too afraid to lose the crumbs their servants would dispense to keep you from revolt? I do not understand your mixed feelings, and if you could, please let me know if you accept the premise of the oligarchy in your reply.
