Germany Rattled By New Year's Eve Sex Assaults By "Arab" Men

Source: CBS NEWS

BERLIN - German Chancellor Angela Merkel voiced outrage Tuesday at a series of sexual assaults in the western city of Cologne on New Year's Eve, saying the perpetrators need to be found as soon as possible.

Merkel called Cologne's mayor Henriette Reker to express her concern about the assaults, which took place around Cologne's main train station, next to the city's famous cathedral.

"The chancellor expressed her outrage about these despicable assaults and sexual attacks, that demand a hard response by the forces of law," Merkel's office said in a statement.

The chancellor also called for everything to be done "to find the perpetrators as quickly and comprehensively as possible and to punish them without regard to their origin or background," it said.

The incident has sparked a debate about the behavior of migrants in Germany after witnesses and police described the perpetrators as being of "Arab or North African origin."

2. A group of 1000 splintered off to prey on individual women. If possible, the perps and their families should be deported

There is little worse affecting German civic discourse involving the refugee crisis than the appearance of abusing the enormous generosity of a country which welcomed them with great kindness and promises of a better life than any they would have known in their country of origin.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/06/world/europe/coordinated-attacks-on-women-in-cologne-were-unprecedented-germany-says.html

Henriette Reker, Cologne’s mayor, who was stabbed during a campaign event in October by an attacker who opposed her welcoming attitude toward migrants, sought on Tuesday to play down the links to refugees, after a crisis meeting with police, state and city officials.

In an effort to prevent further violence in Cologne during the coming Carnival celebrations, when thousands of costumed revelers throng the streets to celebrate with parades and parties, Ms. Reker said that city officials would begin working on measures to help young women protect themselves and to explain the city’s attitudes and norms to its many newcomers.

“We will explain our Carnival much better to people who come from other cultures,” she said, “so there won’t be any confusion about what constitutes celebratory behavior in Cologne, which has nothing to do with a sexual frankness.”

There is something very wrong about a culture which allows men to prey on woman. Such a way of thinking needs to be eradicated ASAP or these sexual predators need a one-way ticket back to whatever hellhole they sprang from instead of inflicting hell on innocent women.

that rape isn't a legitimate rite of celebration, they aren't "confused",they're rapists. And rape isn't "sexual frankness",what a bizarre statement to make.

son or their father back, and leave the rest here, it'll could radicalize the ones that are left here. Send the whole family back, they could still radicalize, but they wouldn't be Germany's problem anymore.

This is a powder keg. These two societies are inherently incompatible. Western society will not put up with the rape and desecration of their women by Arab men.

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

This is white supremacist hate speech. "Desecration" as used here indicates a belief that Arab men are 'impure.' This is someone trying to exploit genuine outrage to mainstream racism.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Tue Jan 5, 2016, 09:55 PM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Agree with alerter, racist post.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The alerted comment suggests that this instance of the violence of rape cannot be tolerated because of two "incompatible societies," but it is the violence of rape, no matter who commits it, or where, that is at fault. The alerted comment should remain and its glaring oversight could be vigorously blasted.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: More than a tad bit racist and sexist. Actually, desecration is being used to imply that women are somehow damaged goods after being raped by those brown men. Racist and sexist. Deserves more than just a hide.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No. You don't get to make up what might be in someone's mind.

This OP was about sexual assault and thus is the context for the whole conversation.

Sure sounds that way to me. This is not a thread about consensual relationships but about sexual abuse by strangers operating in a massive mob, targeting one woman after the other. You equate that to a simple touch?
Twisted.

I was just inquiring about that relationship.

Of course the groping and assault and touching and rape was a violation and a crime.

of racial supremacism.

Also note that the women are now considered "desecrated"--not because they were assaulted, but because the perps were dark skinned.

"No, women who show some skin probably aren't sex workers, or to be considered of a class that was put on earth for the sexual gratification of men."

"As guests of our nation, you must respect women. We have different standards as to what's considered normal dress and behavior for women than you are used to. It is up to you to accept that, and respect everyone. Your acceptance as a guest is dependent on that."

Most refugees don't need to hear that. But I guess the culture shock rattled some of them.

To say more, I'd have to say lots more.
