Foxx, the former mayor of Charlotte who joined Obama's cabinet in 2013, will endorse Clinton at an organizing event in Waterloo, Iowa, on Monday.
The endorsement continues a string of high profile Democratic endorsements for Clinton, who has effectively positioned much of the Democratic establishment around her.....................

(58,785 posts)No shame in being banned for speaking your mind. At worst it's rude -- like coming to a party and insulting your hosts' opinions.
And, yes, as a good liberal and future Democratic supporter, whoever that may turn out to be, I think it's perfectly sensible to consider that they have much more freedom to endorse the Democratic Party's frontrunner than if W were still executive branch boss. And also that they really are also probably considering their futures. After all, they're all going to be out of a job before long, and most will be hoping to stay in D.C.

If you're not happy, and want change, Hilary will not be your candidate.

This latest endorsement for Hillary, by the incumbent secretary of transport, is enormous, enormous news. Totally unexpected. It will swing the election decisively, I believe. This week everyone will be talking about this and nothing else, until their teeth bleed.
In other news, 1.4% of Americans will hear today for the first time that the name of the incumbent Transport Secretary is Anthony Foxx.
Rounding down, 0% of this group will get as far as his Wikipedia page and learn about his career prior to holding office, mainly as a "business litigator" with Hunton & Williams (your international outsourcing experts) which is the kind of simple but forceful title that your true power elite get to hang on their shingle. I mean, how cool does that sound? "Tony Foxx: Business Litigator: Washington DC." Coming soon to no TV near you.

(1,309 posts)We Bernie people look at ideas, not establishment endorsers. Lining up more establishment endorsers only reminds us Hillary is part of the oligarchy who must be pushed out if we are to have democracy.
And Terry McAuliffe - really an inspiring guy you think?
You are obviously out of ideas and the revolution we need is marching on.
