Rupert Murdoch, Jerry Hall announce engagement in newspaper ad

Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch and former model Jerry Hall took a more traditional route to announcing their engagement -- using a newspaper classified advertisement.

The 84-year-old executive chairman of News Corporation, which owns The Times, announced the engagement to the 59-year-old on the Births, Marriages and Deaths page of the newspaper. The Times also ran a story on its website confirming the engagement.

In the story posted on the Times' website, it says the news of the engagement comes after a four-month romance. Murdoch and Hall have been dating since late summer after being introduced by one of Murdoch's sisters and niece, Penny Fowler, in Australia. They went public with the relationship in October, the article says.

"Mr Rupert Murdoch, father of Prudence, Elisabeth, Lachlan, James, Grace and Chloe Murdoch, and Miss Jerry Hall, mother of Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel Jagger are delighted to announce their engagement," the classified ad reads, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

As for Mick Jagger--he was an ASSHOLE. This is more like a sidestep for her. He tried to "Grayson" her, and claim they were never married in order to get out of paying her any money after he cheated on her and dumped her, after all those years where she, in effect, put some pizzazz in his career with her ability to captivate the media, AND she had all those Jagger kids, too (four of them).

She's probably done the math--she needs money, he needs a companion. Maybe she'll IMPROVE him. He certainly could use some of that!!!
