..... the only way out is north through Washington Heights and then see if
you can cross over to the Bronx and then head north and east to Connecticut.

the other closures - but, in earlier press conference Cuomo did mention this particular closure was being discussed with Christie. Also, earlier today they said Broadway shows were still going on - now they're not. IMO it's just a rapidly worsening situation and shit happens.

In just the last hour it went from light snowfall to near blizzard conditions in SE Conn. NYC is getting it even worse.

Italy, with its history of corruption, betrayal, assassinations, and intrigue galore, gave us the Renaissance.

Switzerland gave us the cuckoo clock.

I sometimes think of big city politics that way: it may be more colorful and at times more scandalous than what our friends in the west and midwest see (key word there being 'see'); but where would we, as a nation, be without our northeastern and big city politicians.

Crisco excluded, of course.

They are calling them pu**ies, saying that NYC is a nanny state and that they can't make them stay home. They are also pissed that the malls are closed.

for being able to blast anyone for anything.
Obama doesn't visit the troops at Walter Reid. "Obama is ignoring our brave troops! Impeach!"
Obama visits troops at Walter Reid. "Look at this piece of ______ over there making this all about him. Gawd it makes me sick!"

Best thing to do is just ignore them. They'll never be happy as long as a black guy is president. And they will never even grudgingly admit that any dem has a good idea.

this isn't a joke. Cars get stuck and potentially ambulances and other emergency vehicles get delayed behind them. The streets have to be plowed. The snow was falling too fast for the plows to keep up. That's why they stopped the buses running at noon. During a snowstorm a few years ago they didn't do that and the streets were "littered' with stuck buses.
