Active Shooter Reported at Naval Medical Center San Diego

A possible active shooter has been reported at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD).
The center posted the following notice to its Facebook page around 8:10 a.m. Tuesday:
“**!ATTENTION!** An active shooter has just been been reported in building #26 at Naval Medical Center San Diego. All occupants are advised to run, hide or fight. All non-emergency response personnel are asked to stay away from the compound, located at 34800 Bob Wilson Drive, San Diego, CA 92134.”

My mom goes there for medical services and I have another close relative who is a Naval LEO in San Diego.

The shooter is in the old hospital building which is a long block from the main areas.

11.30 ct most of the media knows there were 3 noises, most likely not a shooter. children or anyone else injured.

10. They are in buildings 1-2 now

Working their way up. Police and naval personel. will let you know what I hear. Something about a baricaded person in Pedi ICU. They are working their way there.

9. This story is weird

Navy says active shooter, but asks police to stay away. And then says "the childcare areas are secure". Something just seems off here.

14. Pretty much.

No evidence of a shooter, and the dogs are going through the buildings now. Someone called in hearing three shots, and they're looking for the original caller now.

Possible HVAC issue found in the building where it was called that could have caused the noise, and someone might have gotten hysterical in a neo-natal unit the next building over, but the whole situation is going to fade off the radar pretty quick.
