Senator Warren to endorse Clinton, sources say

Source: Reuters

Senator Elizabeth Warren will soon endorse presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and, while not currently interested in serving as her running mate, has not ruled it out, several sources close to Warren told Reuters.

Advisers to Warren, a fiery critic of Wall Street and a popular figure among progressive Democrats, have been in close contact with Clinton's campaign team and the conversations have increased in frequency in recent weeks, the sources said.

Warren, 66, represents her home state of Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate. The sources said that foremost in her thinking is how best to help the Democratic Party defeat the presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump in the Nov. 8 presidential election and advance issues such as income inequality which top Warren's agenda.

Congratulations on you being a voter in Massachusetts, but if she's asked and says yes... You have no say in the matter.

The people of Illinois hired Barack Obama to be senator, whom I voted for as senator. Guess what on that one???

They didn't sign some unbreakable contract that says they can't do something else.

I could certainly give two shits about a speech when she was a private citizen, especially when something like that has never been asked for before.

Seems kind of double standard.

... for President (or otherwise) been asked to produce transcripts of speeches they made as a private citizen - or, for that matter, of any speeches at all?

Why are the rules suddenly different for HRC? Why is there NO precedent for doing what she has been demanded to do?

And don't give me the "she made millions from Wall Street" crap. It's irrelevant. Many candidates have made millions - yet they've not been asked to produce ANY speech transcripts to any group, any organization, any union, any club, any gathering whatsoever.

There IS, however, a precedent for releasing full-and-complete tax returns for multiple years. There's only one primary candidate who didn't do that - and still hasn't to this day.

this may be clinton's pipe dream, however. it would serve senator warren no purpose other than frustration to have to work so closely with hillary.
