Elizabeth Warren Endorses Hillary Clinton on Rachel Maddow Show

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a hero to liberal progressives ideologically aligned with Bernie Sanders' anti-Wall Street rhetoric, endorsed presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton Thursday night on MSNBC's the Rachel Maddow Show.
"I'm ready. I am ready to get in this fight and work my heart out for Hillary Clinton to become the next president of the United States and to make sure that Donald Trump never gets anyplace close to the White House," Warren said.
Warren, who has made banking reform the centerpiece of her political career and has been mentioned as a potential running mate, said she has not talked to Clinton about her vice presidential choice.
Warren's announcement comes the same day President Barack Obama formally backed Clinton in a video lauding her qualifications for the job.

Apparently, for instance, if she were to formally announce she was vacating the seat on November 8 and then vacate on inauguration day, that would cut the interim appointment term actually held by the appointee something like in half.

Warren endorsing Hillary does NOT MAKE SENSE.
Take Bernie out of the picture completely, Warren's entire career is defined by railing against the moneyed politics that Hillary has been apart of.

(20,136 posts)Hillary is a progressive Democrat who has been fighting for progressive causes for decades. (Far longer than Elizabeth Warren has, I might add.)
Warren also encouraged Hillary to run in the first place well over a year ago. Many of us have posted about that and knew a long time ago that this was coming. The only people to whom this is a surprise are those who either don't know Warren, or haven't been paying attention.

(20,136 posts)In 2001, bankruptcy legislation was one of the immediate priorities of Congress. The Republican majority had just passed a bill that would have made bankruptcy tougher on a lot more people. It would have pleased the banks and credit card companies, too, if it became law. However, when Congress sent it to President Clinton on December 7, 2000, he killed it with a pocket veto. The clock ran out on the 106th Session with no chance of an override vote. (The bill passed with 70 votes in the Senate and by voice vote in the House, so it was possible that an override vote would have succeeded.)
The Republicans lost four Senate seats in the 2000 election. The incoming session began with 50 Democrats and 50 Republicans who barely held on to the majority with VP Cheney's tie-breaking vote. The Republicans also retained a majority in the House.
From March 7 to March 15, 2001, the Senate debated bill # S.420 the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 2001. True to her priorities, Hillary Clinton leveraged her influence by working with other key Senators to improve the bill with provisions for women who were left without child support payments after the childs father declared bankruptcy. Another improvement eliminated a loophole for the wealthy. An important and controversial provision to protect the safety of women and doctors at reproductive healthcare clinics was also included.

Your Massachusetts hero had a meeting with Our Next President. Can there be any explanation other than Warren swearing a blood oath to Team Hillary?
No! No other possible explanation! OK, some other explanations sound reasonable on their face, but for technical reasons that you Lumpenproletariat wouldn't understand, anyone who meets with Hillary must have sworn to support her. No, Hillary didn't do it to shut you Firebaggers up, that's a really hurtful thing to suggest.
Looks like even that difficult woman from Massachusetts realized that there is not a sliver of daylight between her own views and those of Hillary 6.0, and she didn't want to be Left Behind by the Hillary Zeppelin as it leaves its mooring mast at Lakehurst NJ. (Left Behind! See how I was able to slip in a Rapture reference to attract our friends in the Faith-Based Community? That's why they pay me the big bucks, of course.)
So now that Warren has secretly sworn loyalty The Next One, how about you moonbats doing the same? We totally promise to totally respect your opinions, and we'll fight for income equality and all the other crap that you people like.
