Saudi Arabia Repeats Call For US Strikes On Assad

Source: Ahlul Bayt News Agency

Saudi Arabia on Friday reiterated its call for air strikes against Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria, after US diplomats broke ranks with the White House to push for robust action.

Briefing journalists after talks at the White House, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said the kingdom had long urged Washington to lead a military response to undermine Assad's control.

At the Saudi Embassy, Jubeir noted that from the very start of the crisis, Riyadh had pushed for "a more robust policy, including air strikes, safe zones, a no fly zone, a no drive zone."

He said Saudi Arabia wanted to arm Syria's "moderate opposition" with ground-to-air missiles and repeated an offer to deploy Saudi special forces in any US-led operation.

The Russians have been in Syria longer than they were in Poland. They're not going to give up their last Mediterranean and Mideast base. They will resist force with force.

Besides, if they lose any, we will sell them more.

The House of Saud is extremely shaky and they, likely, are scared to death to shake their regime up by doing so. So, they're asking one of their biggest customers to do what they're afraid to do.

that dared to cross over into Syria.

That's why so many people at the US State Department would love for the US to bomb Assad instead. A US-Russian dogfight would be much more interesting than a Saudi-Russian one.

Neither the Saudis nor the US have any strategic interest in Syria, apart from a proposed oil pipeline. But major wars have been started for less.

The Saudis want us to continue doing their dirty work against Sh'ia Muslims. If we comply, we will then have both branches of Islam against us for a long, long time.

The fact is, we should be busy arresting Saudi and Gulf elites for their continued support of terrorists going back to 9/11. That is unfinished business.

The Saudis have way too much influence over US foreign policy. If they want to go to war in Syria, let them. No reason to use Americans.

If I asked by stronger friend to help me round up a few girls so I can rape them, would you tell me to go do it by myself? or tell me you'll break my neck if I touched anyone of them?

You said dirty work which makes me think you understand that what they were trying to get US to do is bad, so why don't you seem to have a problem if they did it by themselves? as opposed to only doing it with US help. Actual human beings are going to die from the regime change operation.

Come on people, show some empathy for the Syrian people.

that are trying to take over the govt. A country should defend themselves from a takeover. I am a pacifist but I fully understand national defense. I am confused here, for a second I thought it was a different person replying to the my reply post to you.

You do think the work the Saudis want to be done in Syria is dirty work right? If yes, how come you only object to it if the US is involved?

I believe sometimes the best thing to do is to stay out. But the US is not staying out, they are clearly taking side by funding the rebels and also sanctioning the Govt forces and their allies and coming in with stupid cease fires every time they start making serious gains against the rebels.

Also, I as a private citizen would never say "let the Saudis do their dirty work in Syria" regardless of who is funding it. That is what my whole problem is.

I think it's learned helplessness.

to take out Assad and the Saudi's to do it?

Are the PTB looking for Russia and SA to get into it with each other while we clean up the after-mess with the 250,000 Coalition Troops that Joe Scarborough was blabbing on about last week in his rant seemingly written by the NeoCon Think Tankers?

Where are the 28 Redacted Pages of the "9/11 Report" that Obama promised us he would release. That was last Spring! What happened with that?

3) They fear it might not be Clinton in the end, and hope to suck Obama into it.

All as a matter of speculation, of course.

Lackeys.

Prior to the civil war, there was no case for which was the worse regime by far, Saudi Arabia or Syria.

No, obviously, they shouldn't commit this crime on their own, nor should the U.S. do it for them. Motherfuckers.
