MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A spokesman for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Russ Feingold says comments by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump about NATO are "reckless" and "thoughtless."

Feingold's campaign reacted Thursday to Trump's suggestion that under his leadership, the United States might not come to the defense of some NATO members if Russia were to attack them. Feingold is running against Republican Sen. Ron Johnson, who supports Trump for president.

Feingold spokesman Michael Tyler says Feingold "believes our alliances around the world help keep our nation safer, and knows it would be reckless to leave America's foreign policy in the hands of Donald Trump, as Senator Johnson wants to do."..................................

Democrats are expected to do well in the 2016 senate races, even more so now that tRump keeps uttering inanities like this.

Is there any chance that the House can substantially shift though? The conventional wisdom is no, due to years of Republican gerrymandering but... ya never know.

Perhaps nations that are delinquent in paying their NATO dues should just follow the example of the Supreme bullshitter, and just file for bankruptcy. They can then come up with any excuse they choose to receive assistance the Donald Trump way. After all, who knows more about scoundrel finance than Trump?
