Donald Trump's campaign on Friday announced more than a dozen members of the Republican nominee's all-male economic advisory team, including several prominent real-estate investors, hedge-fund managers and bankers.
Names on the list, which the Trump campaign boasted as having "unparalleled experience and success in business" include Steve Roth, the founder and chairman of Vornado Realty Trust; oil and gas tycoon Harold Hamm; Vector Group President and CEO Howard Lorber; Steven Mnuchin, Trump's national finance director and chairman/CEO of Dune Capital; top fundraiser Tom Barrack, the founder and chief executive at Colony Capital; Stephen M. Calk, chairman and CEO of The Federal Savings Bank; John Paulson, president and CEO of investment firm Paulson & Co.; Andy Beal, a banker, businessman and poker player; and Steve Feinberg, co-founder and CEO of Cerberus Capital Management.
Trump advisers David Malpass, Peter Navarro, Stephen Moore and Dan DiMicco are also on the list, led by Stephen Miller, the national policy director, and deputy policy director Dan Kowalski. The Trump campaign said that more names will be added at a later date. The announcement comes ahead of Trump's speech Monday at the Detroit Economic Club, where the Republican nominee is expected to lay out his agenda for the American economy.
I am pleased that we have such a formidable group of experienced and talented individuals that will work with me to implement real solutions for the economic issues facing our country," Trump said in a statement released by his campaign. "For too long we have watched as President Obama and Hillary Clinton have ruined our economy and decimated the middle class. I am going to be the greatest jobs President our country has ever seen. We will do more for the hardworking people of our country and Make America Great Again.

(51 posts)just had to post this story from AlterNet in 2010 about this vulture capitalist corporation, probably post it again when I can. Just a taste of the kind of folks Trump loves.
"How one company made $1.8 billion by paying peanuts to human plasma donors, and then manipulated the market by restricting supply to the desperately ill."

(11,519 posts)Seeing as how several of them are from corporate raider / vulture capital firms I'm guessing there are a fair amount of bankruptcies among them. That's definitely the easiest method to walk away from a corporate takeover with $millions in your pocket - it's nothing more than legalized stealing (while employees, contractors, and creditors get screwed).

(50,559 posts)You're going to take most of the people who broke the economy during the Bush administration and put them in charge of the government. I no longer want to see Trump's tax returns - I want to see his brokerage account so I know how many short positions he is sitting on.
