Cuomo Implicated In Bridgegate Cover-Up

Source: WNYC

The governors of New York and New Jersey were involved in covering up Bridgegate early on, star witness David Wildstein said in federal court in Newark Tuesday.

Wildstein testified last week that he and defendant Bill Baroni bragged to Gov. Christie about the lane closures while they were going on.

In federal court Tuesday, Wildstein implicated New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo as well, saying it was his "understanding that Gov. Christie and Gov. Cuomo discussed" putting together a false report as early as October 2013, shortly after the lane closures, saying "that the New Jersey Side accepted responsibility."

The idea was that the New York side would sign off on the cover story that it was a traffic study gone awry and that would be that. By that point in time, senior officials on both sides of the Hudson knew there had been no "traffic study."

Please forgive me if you are a fan of Cuomo. I suspect there is more than a kernel of truth in this public radio report.

He has made odd friends, taken surprising positions, and seems to enjoy the powerful and rich over the little guy.

He was not molded from the same form as daddums.

2. Apparently, his long-time friendship with a Repuke is more important to him than being a DEMOCRAT.

I've always been a little uneasy about Cuomo as a Democrat. For the life of me, I can't understand how he can still get away with being a Democrat when he acts like a loyal Republican.

New Yorkers, please elect a REAL Democrat next time.

Mayor De Blasio - a true progressive - doesn't get along with "Democrat" Cuomo all that well, either, so I guess I'm in good company.

4. A lot of speculation there. I think Wildstein is taking "2" and "2" and hoping it adds up to "5".

Most likely most of the "implication" is strictly conjecture.

An attempt o water this down for Crispie with a healthy dose of both-siderism.
FYI, I live in NYS and have no love for Cuomo.

"During Foye's testimony, evidence was introduced that then-Port Authority Vice Chairman Scott Rechler, a Cuomo appointee, discussed using New York's silence on the lane closures as leverage for Cuomo to extract money and concessions from agency's New Jersey board members."

At least it's something, if true.

19. Looks like the two did have some sort of conversation about it.

Both Christie and Cuomo made the same public statement ,the same statement Christie holds to . They both claimed they know what they know about it through the newspapers same as anybody else. My guess is Christie overinflated what went down in a conversation between the two when bringing his trusted ones into the media spin plan. There was an article back there where Christie was quoted telling one of his henchman he told Cuomo to F---- off in the meeting.

So hearsay could very well be what came out of Christie's mouth through his thuggish ego. It was the job of all Christie's people to stroke Christie's ego and do the dirty deeds . Christie more or less demanded unconditional loyality at all cost.

: }

Christie is/was a firm believer in providing himself with a legal cover in every dirty deed he did. I really don't think he is as sure of himself about those legal covers as he was when all those dirty deeds went down. When they lift the lid on what went down my guess is it will all come out. All of it.And every dirty trick he learned when he was U.S. Attorney New Jersey . Talk about a lengthy criminal history .Was it before or after 9/11 2001 he got the word ? Oh my my mary pat.
