Ohio write-in candidates must have filed by August deadline

Source: WCPO.com/News

CINCINNATI -- U.S. Sen. Rob Portman says he'll be voting for Mike Pence for president, in light of vulgar comments from Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Turns out, that's pretty much as effective as voting for Mickey Mouse. ...

Short article. The gist is write in candidates must register with the state of Ohio 72 days before the election. If not, writing in a candidate on your Ohio ballot that didn't register means your vote doesn't count.

So for Ohio, the GOP is stuck with Trump.

Even though it will be the same as those who vote for trump because they like him.

It's like when idiots say "I'm not voting for x but agaisnt y".

Rinse: To save your races, tell them you're denouncing Trump.
Trump: Wrong!
Rinse: No, they say they're voting Pence and he's on your ticket. You still get the vote.
Trump: Oh.

to find the rules for write-in candidates, sample ballots and any number of other things about elections and rules. It is accurate and nonpartisan. I have gone there many times after reading misleading things on the internet.

I don't work for them!

All the more reason to encourage erstwhile Trump voters in Ohio to write in Pence, or anyone else they want to.

We want to see as low a vote total for Trump as possible.

Portman is a snake. After selling out Ohioans while he helped the Bush regime send jobs to China, he now runs ads saying how great he is for jobs. Thee media allows his lying ads to run unchallenged.

He claims he will vote for Pence for president. But there is no way for him to do so. Pence can not be a write in candidate because he didn't declare.
