A lawsuit claiming that Republican nominee Donald Trump raped at least one 13-year-old girl in 1994 may have its day in court after a federal judge reportedly ordered a status conference to review the case, the Independent reported Tuesday.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court of New York, alleges that Trump and financier Jeffrey Epstein raped two underage girls at several parties at Epstein’s apartment in Manhattan. The girls, identified in court documents as “Tiffany Doe” and “Jane Doe,” were allegedly promised money and modeling careers if they attended the parties.

The details described in the document are graphic. At one party, Trump is accused of tying one of the young girls to the bed before raping her while the victim repeatedly plead with him to stop.

Trump’s lawyer has denied the accusations. A status conference is a meeting to update the court on how the two sides are proceeding including any settlement discussions under consideration and any discovery that has been conducted.

who worked for Epstein -- so that is unusual in a rape case, to say the least.

She also has an affidavit who will testify that the victim told her about the attack shortly afterwards.

If there is anything to this, I think Trump will settle it.

First, the subject line of the OP: Donald Trump is not going to be anywhere near that courtroom for a status conference. I've never seen an attorney take their client to a status conference.

Secondly, no, it hasn't been served.

Third, it's time barred, and unlikely to survive preliminary motions if it gets as far as that.

Fourth, the defamation claim is just plain silly. The plaintiff claims she was "defamed" because Trump's lawyers said it was false the first time around. Given that filing was made by "Jane Doe" then no person could have been defamed by that.

In fact, despite all the talk about getting an "as seen on TeeVee" attorney, the application for the Florida attorney to appear didn't include basic requirements. Whenever you file to practice out of state, you have to include a current certificate of good standing from your home jurisdiction. It's a really basic and uniform rule in federal courts.

11. That was the first time, in California. But this summer her attorney filed a 2nd time,

in New York, but never served Trump. That filing included an affidavit from a witness, but they withdrew that lawsuit with permission of the judge, saying they'd file again with a new witness.

Now they've filed for the 3rd time, with the original witness plus another witness. There is also now a co-counsel, Cheney Mason. But, as I said, until they actually serve it, as the judge as ordered, it's not definite yet.
