Source: ISIS executes hundreds of Mosul area residents

Source: CNN

ISIS executed 284 men and boys as coalition forces closed in on Mosul, an Iraqi intelligence source told CNN.

Those killed on Thursday and Friday had been rounded up near and in the city for use as human shields against attacks that are forcing ISIS out of the southern sections of Mosul, the source explained.

ISIS used a bulldozer to dump the corpses in a mass grave at the scene of the executions -- Mosul's defunct College of Agriculture in the north of the city, the intelligence source said.

The victims were all shot and some were children, said the source, who wanted anonymity because he is not authorized to speak to the media. CNN could not independently confirm the claim.

His wise sons, Uday and Qusay would have reconciled their sibling feud and led Iraq into a glorious, long lasting period of peace, stability, and cooperation? Iran and Saudi Arabia would have respected their leadership and never turned Iraq into their battlefield?

No, the best we could have hoped for was that they would leave us out of that quagmire. But Iraq was destined to be a place of pain and misery, regardless of our actions.

so we could be a major player involved in that quagmire forever? Sorry but there is no argument for the idiocy of the bush administrations actions and the look the other way congress.

All I am saying is that something like Daesh was inevitable. Saddam and sons made a LOT of enemies both inside and out of Iraq. By staying out of the mess, we could have saved a lot of American lives.

absolutely correct

I also hold anyone who voted for Dubya responsible - I remember people saying well yeah he's not that smart but he will "surround himself with good people". Yes, let's put the country in the hands of sociopaths / pyschopaths and see what happens

We just accelerated and exacerbated the process. It should really be 3 different countries but was mashed together after WWI.
