Kellyanne Conway finally acknowledges: ‘We are behind’

A top adviser to Donald Trump acknowledged on Sunday the Republican presidential candidate was lagging behind rival Hillary Clinton, as the Democratic nominee pressed a strategy of encouraging early voting in key battleground states.

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said Clinton had “tremendous advantages,” including a large campaign war chest that had allowed her to spend millions on television ads ahead of the Nov. 8 election.

“We are behind,” Conway said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” But she added the Trump campaign was looking to sway undecided voters not ready to support Clinton.

As the polling gap has widened, Trump has said repeatedly the election is being “rigged” against him. He has not offered evidence and numerous studies have shown that the U.S. election system, which is decentralized and run by the states, is sound.

He has been handed advantages all his life, essentially for free, and is karmically bankrupt. That's why he complains that Hillary got something he didn't get. She spent 30 years paying her dues "doing nothing" and Trump spent his whole life putting up buildings with his name on it.

Preparing and working to become President in the face of misogyny was what she accomplished in 30 years, Donald. She deserves someone as easy to defeat as you are.

she has a $150 million war chest, Trump has about $75 million. If Trump wants as big a war chest, all he has to do is add $75 mill to it. That's less than one tenth of merely one of his billions. What's the problem?

So complaining that she's got more money to work with won't fly. He's got as much or more if he wants it. So either he doesn't want it, or he doesn't have it.

"War chests" don't appear out of nowhere. Trump either did, or did not, fund his own campaign like he bragged. If he wanted a bigger war chest, he could have had an early fund raising campaign.
