Military Expert Responds To Trump: 'Can't Wait' To Hear What You Teach Me

Source: TPM

The military expert Donald Trump previously said he could teach “a couple things” responded in kind Thursday, repeating his original claim to the New York Times that the Republican nominee “doesn’t know a damn thing about military strategy.”

“I can’t wait to sit down with Mr. Trump and hear what he has to teach me about military strategy,” retired Col. Jeff McCausland’s statement, posted to the website of Dickinson College, where he is a visiting professor, begins.

“He never served in the military and never served the government,” it continues. “Mr. Trump also made it very clear that he had no understanding of the nuclear triad or nuclear strategy.”

Referencing Trump’s plan to “seize” old fields in Iraq, once one of the main sources of the Islamic State’s funding, McCausland writes that it “boggles the mind to imagine how many U.S. troops it would have taken to seize the oil in Iraq and how many U.S. casualties we would have suffered” in such an operation.

I would love to see him up on stage with members of the military trying to "teach them a couple things". He would have his ass handed to him within five minutes.

I wonder if he could even stand post let alone handle a firefight or plan any semblence of an operation at the tactical, operational or strategic level.

He watched fellow members of the infantry die as they heroically slogged through that quagmire. I could only think ten minutes of what my dad went through would make orange boy curl up in a fetal position while weeping and wetting his pants.

To think this man could lead our armed forces is the ultimate joke.

because I dealt with the people,” Trump told biographer Michael D’Antonio of his time at the New York Military Academy, a private prep school.

He wouldn't last a week in the military without having a trip to the brig. He thinks he's the boss of everyone and knows better than anyone. He couldn't make it reporting to someone else.
