Sen. Johnson Already Ringing Impeachment Bell For Hillary Clinton
Source: Talking Points Memo
Election Day is still a week away, but Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) already has his eye on the possible impeachment of a president Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server.
"This was willful concealment and destruction," Johnson told the Beloit Daily News in a Monday interview flagged by the Huffington Post. Johnsons comments referred to federal laws related to the willful gathering or destruction of information related to national defense.
"I'm not a lawyer, but this is clearly written," Johnson said of 18. U.S. Code 2071, which dictates that anyone who concealed or removed such official records is disqualified from holding U.S. office. "I would say yes, high crime or misdemeanor, I believe she is in violation of both laws."
Johnson, who endorsed Donald Trump, told the local Wisconsin newspaper that the FBIs investigation concluding there was no case to prosecute the former secretary of state was corrupt.

The vulnerable Republican senator is significantly trailing behind Democratic challenger Russ Feingold. Johnson has 43.2 percent support to Feingolds 50.7 percent, according to TPMs PollTracker Average.

(81,238 posts)This fucking squatter and poseur took Feingold's job six years ago. Time to flush him OUT of there. That's rightfully RUSS FEINGOLD's Senate seat. I'm glad the polls indicate he's going to return to his rightful place!
I can't believe it, Wisconsin! WHAT THE FUCK were you thinking?????????? To turn your back on Russ Feingold like that? WHAT THE FUCK were you thinking???
Oh, never mind. You WEREN'T actually thinking. Anybody using their brains would have known it made no sense to assume some idiot teabagger could "represent" them.

(67,782 posts)The House may impeach, but the Senate votes on the trial. There will be no guilty verdict, simply because there wll not be a 2/3 majority in the senate, whether it turns blue or not.

(6,143 posts)Hell they may even do it during the lame duck session, before she takes office (If the Senate would convict, which of course they don't have the votes to do, she would be prevented from taking office).
Let's get it over with, and then tie that around their necks for the next election cycle.

(81,238 posts)I'd just like to remind everybody that George P. Bush is actively FOR Donald Trump. Yes, that's Texas, and not Wisconsin. But I just wanted to throw that in there. Young "heir apparent" to that self-anointed "American royal family" has ambitions to follow Grandpa George HW, and Uncle dubya into the White House someday. Take that to the bank. He's already started on the road toward there, with this little minor bureaucratic elected job in Texas. From there, he'll try to climb upwards. Maybe running for governor next.
THESE individuals NEED TO BE WATCHED. Kept track of. This Ron Johnson dude, in Wisconsin - I think we need to keep an eye on him, too. When he loses (I think it's pretty certain that Feingold will beat him), he'll want back in, in some other way.
KEEP TRACK of these guys, my friends. It's ESSENTIAL!

Let's vote them out of office.

New Flash, Johnson....no American President has EVER been removed from office by IMPEACHMENT. There maybe enough GOP congressmen in the house to call for impeachment of Clinton. HOWEVER it is the Senate that conducts the investigation laid out by the "Article of Impeachment" AND following the trial, there needs to be 2/3'ds Senate vote to remove Hillary from office. That's not going to happen. Even if the GOP thought they had a chance to get rid of her, Tim Kaine would replace her. What an idiot!
