Texas officer fired for giving sandwich with feces to man

Source: Associated Press

Updated 12:22 pm, Saturday, November 5, 2016

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A San Antonio police officer has been fired after an internal investigation determined he tried to give a homeless man a sandwich with feces inside it.

Police Chief William McManus said in a statement Friday that former officer Matthew Luckhurst committed a "vile and disgusting act."

Luckhurst, a five-year member of the department, told another officer in May that he had picked up feces, placed it on bread and put it in a container for the homeless man.

McManus says the second officer told Luckhurst to retrieve the container but it's not clear whether he did. At least two officers reported Luckhurst's actions to supervisors.

We see the worst of cops all to frequently. Its refreshing to see cops turning in other cops for wrong behavior. Since I believe this P.O.S. Luckhurst is a twisted, sick in the head bastard that should have never been hired, the credit I give these other officers is tempered the fact that this wasn't an abuse of a suspect or wrongful arrest they were reporting. This was a NO BRAINER!!!

They told him to remove the sandwich, but did he? Good thing a cop told on him. Rare at best, these days. Always hated cops, and always will. Never trust them...they shoot your pets.

It's not like there was feces on a Subway 6-inch. This POS(pun intended) made a sandwich with feces as the 'meat' and gave it to homeless guy - as a 'joke'.

It is either what you said or some "good" cops actually stood up and did the right thing, and from what we all have seen these past years, the odds are that you are correct. Unfortunately.
