USGS: 5.3-magnitude earthquake rattles Oklahoma

CUSHING, Okla. -- An earthquake rattled the state of Oklahoma Sunday night, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

CBS affiliate KOTV reported that the 5.3-magnitude earthquake happened at 7:44 p.m. CST.

Its epicenter was reported about one mile west of Cushing, and 53 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.

The earthquake was less than four miles deep, KOTV reported.

here in Weld County in northeast Colorado, aka "Fracking Central". 3.1 on the Richter scale. And still they tell us that those 21000 wells aren't dangerous...

It didn't feel as strong and it wasn't as scary as the 5.6 quake that happened not too many months ago, but I knew it was a pretty big one.

I have an idea, let's vote for Trump so we can have more fracking. Maybe it you frack at certain angles one quake will negate the other. Also, earthquakes sometimes involve plates riding over other plates and if some fracking could be done near the MX border maybe an earthquake could be stimulated that would be severe enough to create a kind of wall between MX and the US and nobody would have to pay for it.

Just saying.
