Pregnant woman stops by Boulder clerk's office to vote before hitting hospital

Source: Boulder Daily Camera

Boulder County spokeswoman Mircalla Wozniak confirmed that Adelstein and Brandel stopped by the clerk's office on Friday to cast their ballots.

"They came in to drop off their ballots and sign the ballot envelopes," Wozniak said. "The election judge could tell she was in labor."

Brandel, who is a registered psychotherapist, and Adelstein, who is a holistic health coach, both voted for Hillary Clinton, Brandel said.

"It's really important for us to bring our girl into a world we are proud of," he said. "We hope people realize the risks inherent in this election and get out and vote."

Wouldn't the responsible thing to do in that situation be to vote by mail in advance? LeftyMom Nov 2016 #16

Colorado has switched to "mail only" ballots, drop off is also acceptable, so she could have cast her vote weeks ago. there is also no requirement that you drop off your ballot in person in Colorado. I'm glad she voted and that her child is healthy.

You can't count on your body cooperating with your errands when it's busy trying to expel another human.
