After Trump meeting, Scott says 'I'm staying in Florida'

Gov. Rick Scott insisted Thursday he is not interested in a position with Donald Trump's administration, though he told the president-elect in a meeting in New York that he would help "rewrite Obamacare" and "redesign the government."

"I'm staying in Florida," Scott said on Fox News when asked about a Cabinet job with Trump.

Scott appeared on the cable news channel following a private meeting at Trump Tower that a governor's office spokeswoman said lasted 30 minutes. "Always fun to meet with my friend Donald Trump," Scott said.

1. Still wants to be President, and the posiiton wasn't good enough for the resume.

2. Possible or he thought attaching himself to Trump was to risky both politically in the long run

So he was offered HHS? Yeah, that would be a step down for him, but no worries.
