.................The two men who were attacked, Sam and Andrew, told the Star Observer that they were attacked by a supporter of President-elect Donald Trump while waiting in line at the fast food chain.
He was saying things like how white men rule now that Trump has won, Sam said. I was horrified. ..................................
The man was fired up over the comment, and started shouting, Trumps won, straight white men rule!
Friends of the Trump supporter reportedly dragged him out of the restaurant; however, he then remained outside and waited for Sam and Andrew to leave the McDonalds.
He hit me on the head, Sam said. And because Im a pretty big guy, I went down hard immediately there was blood everywhere. He kept mouthing off, but when he hit my head things went a bit blurry from that point......................

For some reason, I think it will only get worse over the next 4 years.

I heard on TV this morning that there have been over 700 hate crimes committed since the election by Trump supporters.

Expect more violent acting out from Trump fascists. I hate to say this but people on the left need to get armed if they are not already. My wife and I will be CC after the new year for self defense.
Dumpf and his fascist supporters can go to hell.

(18,652 posts)in some states. Motor voter registrations lost in NC and a whistleblower has anonymously named names of where they went. They went to specific top state people who voided them in a scam. So now Drumpf is feeling what this presidency entails. He's lost the "my way or the highway Trump brand" b/c the gov. (so far) doesn't run that way. Voter integrity is a bedrock of American society and these voter suppression/"lost" registration problems need to be resolved.
Just let Trump argue against voter integrity--- he'll lose the argument.
If you're speaking to a Trumpster , don't make it complicated for those who can only deal in sound bites: voter integrity.

(61 posts)I have been a lurker for many years and this is my first posting. I was at a local gas station getting a cup of coffee before I headed to a customer early on the Friday after the election. The cashier was an African-American and there were 2 small white guys by the soda fountain. They were yelling racial slurs at the cashier saying they are allowed to say that now because Donald won. (i will always refer to Donald as Donald, due to annoyance it causes to Donald). I looked at the cashier and walked over to the counter to show i had his back. I did not say anything just stood at the counter looking at the 2 tiny Donald supporters. I just looked and shook my head in disapproval. I dialed 911 on my phone. Luckily, my presence defused the situation, as I am over 6'2 and 250lbs. However, I was ready to defend the cashier if necessary. I still have the scars on my hands from the only fight i have ever been involved. I was defending a friend that got jumped by skin heads.

He can say that gay marriage is settled law, but he's surrounded himself with bigots. His AG nominee is fervently opposed to same-sex marriage, and is very unlikely to take action against the Kim Davis's of the world who, at the local level, refuse to respect the legal consequences of the Obergefell decision.

(1,058 posts)It's the Republican Party, so it's not as if he has a huge selection of gay-friendly choices. I'm choosing to be optimistic here that trump is probably the least anti-gay candidate that the republicans could have elected. He's not a Christian fundamentalist, despite his support from fundamentalists (which came really only after he had the nomination).
I suspect that trump doesn't care personally who gets married if it doesn't impact his bottom line. That's not the same as supporting gay marriage, but it's better than actively opposing it.
Pence is scary though.

I know wind generators off coasts are an issue not only for Donald Trump, but fuck him. Trump ruined the view of a modest-living neighbor of the Scottish golf club b/c he wouldn't sell his property to Trump. Cannot recall details except Rump ruined the man's view of the sea. Karma's a bitch.
