Michigan board deadlocks, removes recount hurdle

Michigan's elections board has deadlocked on President-elect Donald Trump's request to prevent a recount, which means it will start next week unless the courts intervene.

Two Republicans voted Friday to prevent the recount, while two Democrats said it should proceed. A state spokesman says the statewide recount requested by Green Party candidate Jill Stein will begin Tuesday or Wednesday barring a court order.

Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette, a Republican, asked the state Supreme Court on Friday to intervene and stop the recount. That motion is pending.

People in his government were found guilty and will serve time for reckless lane closures on his behalf to punish a Democrat for not endorsing him. The gall! He may wind up heading the RNC.

Compare that to our State Department which relies on funding from Congress for security. In that scenario the Democrat is accused of being responsible for four deaths. The neglect was in Congress. And the government oversight committee?

Democrats are under siege everywhere. Republicans want a one party system. And they will punish those preventing that or those trying to hold them accountable with every ounce of energy the possess.

Approve the hand recount ASAP! Wonder how many uncounted HRC votes they will find there, like in PA., or how many Drumpf votes will automatically disappear, even before the count starts, like in WI? Michigan's Attorney General is a rabid rightie all the way. Michigan is run by repubs and we are so screwed here. I don't get why the recount doesn't go forward since Trump won by only a little over 10K.
