America Belongs to White Men, Alt-Right Founder Says

Source: The Intercept

There were no Nazi salutes this time, at least. But Richard Spencer, the white supremacist Trump supporter trying to make racism cool by rebranding it “alt-right,” gave another rabble-rousing speech on Tuesday night, this time at Texas A&M University.

In case there was any ambiguity about his message, video posted on Twitter by Josef Winkler, a college sophomore who was repulsed by Spencer’s statements, showed him boasting that, because of the conquest of North America by European invaders, “America belongs to white men.”

Before the election, I thought these sorts of beliefs had died out. It makes me pretty depressed to see that they haven't.

... because you have to undermine what is essentially the rebel appeal for it. It's anti-establishment and they love Trump, not because he's one of them (he doesn't seem to really believe in anything), but because his reign is something that could tear down the establishment and institutions that they see as being against them. They're young and tech savvy, smart enough to know what fake news is and willingly share it for furthering their cause. They aren't going to be brought down by public shaming and the attempts only seem to embolden them. They don't believe in much of anything, so they're unpersuaded by arguments to their intellect or better nature. The alt-right movement like a big blob of tar that keeps growing, with anyone striking out on it becoming stuck and then consumed themselves.

How do you fight that? A force hellbent on the destruction of decent society for the sake of the destruction of decent society?

Spencer was invited by a former student through the university's public use policy. As a public institution, the university wasn't allowed to ban him. The administration did publicly condemn the invitation and created a counter event called Aggies United for diversity awareness.

As an alumni, I'm proud of the university's response to Spencer's presence defiling the campus.

Example:

Texas A&M Chancellor John Sharp addressed the crowd and let them know the university is no place for racist rhetoric.

"If you’re a purveyor of hate and divisiveness and you want to spew that kind of racism, this is the last campus on earth that you want to come to," Sharp said. "There is no place, and there is no university where love and respect for each other and loyalty and commitment to each other is stronger than Texas A&M University."

Texas A&M President Michael K. Young also spoke, praising diversity and inclusion.

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/11/neo-nazi-richard-spencers-wife-is-a-russian-propagandist-with-allegiance-to-putin/

Richard Spencer, who has emerged as the face of the latest attempt to “intellectualize” white supremacy, is married to a Russian scholar who publishes pro-Kremlin propaganda.

Nina Kouprianova, who also writes under the name Nina Byzantina, publishes articles lionizing Vladimir Putin, criticizing western media and appears on the Kremlin-funded RT network to promote anti-Ukraine talking points.

Spencer, the head of the innocuously named National Policy Institute, has also appeared on anti-American segments broadcast by RT, although the English-language network does not highlight his relationship to Kouprianova.

However, a profile posted on the Neo-Nazi Wermod & Wermod Publishing Group’s website shows the couple dining together with British psychology professor Richard Lynn, whose writings attempt to link ethnicity and race to intelligence.

That culture comes from Koch bros and Murdoch propaganda, which reaches the ignorant masses just fine, somehow, no matter how rural and isolated they are. The same capabilities those people use to network cross globally would allow them to access some actual information, if they wanted to.

They hate and threaten others because they want to. They don't have things worse than Blacks, Hispanics, Natives, but you don't see a sizable number of those other groups just itching to go nazi.

These new old righties might come from a pool of people who are poor and suffering, but that's no excuse.

I also never heard the JBS couch their criticisms in terms of Stalinism vs. Trotskyist or Schachtmanite.

When they called Eisenhower a commie, they weren't saying it would have been o.k. if he'd only like Trotsky.

When they called Fluoridation a commie plot, they never said it was a 'stalinist plot'.

And Stalin had been dead for 5 years before the birchers came into existence.

That's what's wrong. And why we don't have the democracy of the people we are supposed to have. We must confront them at every turn, relentlessly.

I'm glad it's coming out into the open. POC and women have always known that this is the secret America keeps trying to bury. It's better to have it out, named, and florid in all its ugliness.

Makes it more urgent to fight them and easier to organize against them. This ugliness is the last stage of the unfinished Civil War as some pundit recently said.

Let's finally clean it out.

Black people are the dominate race now because Obama "conquered" their highest office. America belongs to black men.

He'd probably be like "b-b-bbuh we had it first!", and then you say "so did native Americans right? What's the difference?".

I'm 100% sure Spencer's girlfriend left him for a minority before he started this "alt-right" biz.
