Sanders blasts Trump's 'rigged Cabinet' in tweetstorm

Source: MSN/The Hill

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) tore into President-Elect Donald Trump's Cabinet picks Thursday, arguing his selections are "rigged" against the American people.

"Is Mr. [Steve] Mnuchin, a former executive at Goldman Sachs, going to rein in Wall Street's greed and illegal behavior? I doubt it," the former presidential candidate tweeted, adding the Twitter hashtag "rigged Cabinet."

Sanders had earlier blasted Trump for picking Mnunchin to be his Treasury secretary, saying in a joint statement with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) that the selection goes against his campaign pledge to change Washington and "drain the swamp."

Sanders also ripped the selection of Exxon-Mobile leader Rex Tillerson, Trump's pick to lead the State Department, and Scott Pruitt, his choice to lead the Environmental Protection Agency.

Clearly, the trump administration has a theme of bull-dozing the American government.

Bernie and Elizabeth Warren are the only ones in the Congress doing their jobs. 2 out of 538.

Wall Street will only allow us to have a handful of honest politicians. Enough to give us false hope, but not enough to be of any consequence. The republic had been dead for decades, the only thing that has changed is now a loose cannon will have access to the nuclear launch codes.

We also need to change the filibuster rules back to where they traditionally were, 60 votes needed to confirm! We can't let the repukes get away with changing the rules!
