Susan Collins recovering from surgery after slip on ice

Source: Bangor Daily News

AUGUSTA, Maine — U.S. Sen. Susan Collins is recovering from surgery after slipping on ice and breaking her ankle, according to a post on her Facebook page.

Collins apparently remains in good spirits. She invoked New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, who is injured, in the post.

“Due to a slip on the ice, both Rob Gronkowski and I will be on Injured Reserve for the playoffs,” Collins wrote in the post. “My ankle was broken in two places, but thanks to a successful surgery at St. Joseph Hospital with Dr. Jacob Brooks and his team, I am on the road to recovery.”

I just loathe it when I hear about her being such a "moderate."

I say BULLSHIT to that. She can call herself whatever the fuck she wants, but when push comes to shove, she'll ALWAYS back up her wing nut friends.

millions of Americans who cannot afford and do not have health insurance or insurance that they will be forever in debt to pay off the high deductible. Of course it helps you that we taxpayers are paying you close to $200,000 a year for your dedicated service as you and your party try to destroy what little insurance millions of Americans have under Obamacare.
In spite of that I wish you well because I am a Democrat and Democrats care about all people not just the wealthy..

breaking a bone in my foot. It was very painful and I couldn't drive for a month. Fortunately I didn't need surgery. I just had to wear one of those boots.

But then not to be outdone I slipped on some invisible ice on my driveway two days ago and came down on my shoulder. This time nothing was broken but there is a bruise and I have limited freedom of movement with my shoulder. My doctor told me to use an ice pack on it.

People, be careful of that ice. And as another poster indicated, it's good to have health insurance and under our new demagogue in chief millions might be losing theirs.

At first I didn't even realize that anything was wrong but later that day it started to swell up and it was quite painful so I went to urgent care and got the broken bone diagnosed. They referred me to an orthopedic surgeon who determined that all I needed to do was to wear a boot. Nevertheless it was quite painful and inconvenient. With the boot on I could not drive. I had to depend on others for transportation. It's one of those you don't miss it until you don't have it things.

for about 6 weeks, and just getting in or out of the car took 5 minutes! You get so used to being able to do all kinds of things, you take them for granted, and when they're taken away for whatever reason... it can really alter your daily living.
