Thank you for posting this, Judi.

It's worth noting that each of these accounts violates Argentina's disclosure laws for all public officials - i.e. that any and all accounts and assets, be they in Argentina or overseas, must be declared before said official even takes office.

Macri declared none of these.

Argentina also has emolument laws that ban officials in the position to benefit his or her family from doing so by way of contracts or in any other direct way.

Decreeing an economy-busting 40% devaluation just after buying millions in dollar futures (as public records clearly show) is one example of his violating this law; granting his "poor cousin" Ángelo Calcaterra (the Macri family's construction empire trustee) $3 billion in public works contracts is another.

But like Trump, he has enough judges, media, and legislators on his side to make sure he's not held to account. His populist predecessor Cristina Kirchner - much like Hillary Clinton - was not so lucky, and has instead had to face one circumstancial or even absurd charge after another.

He's doing her a favor, really, judging from her poll numbers - and she's not as yet running for anything.

Thanks again for posting.
