'If I had to lose my job over this, I would': Some of the Rockettes are refusing to perform at Trump's inauguration

Some members of the Radio City Rockettes dance troupe are worried they could lose their jobs if they don't perform at President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration in January.

And the decision whether to perform at Trump's ceremony is causing tension within the group, one of the dancers said in an interview with Marie Claire published on Tuesday.

The union representing the iconic dancers apparently made the group's Jan. 20 performance optional, after public backlash over reports they would be forced to perform at Trump's inauguration, according to the dancer, whom Marie Claire assigned the pseudonym, "Mary."

"The majority of us said no immediately," Mary told the magazine. "Then there's the percentage that said yes, for whatever reason — whether it's because they're young and uninformed, or because they want the money, or because they think it's an opportunity to move up in the company when other people turn it down."

to show he is a "working class hero." It allows him to use anecdotal evidence that he is pro-union even as he buys Chinese steel, opposes Davis-Bacon and supports "right to work." It's a classic bait and switch.

Most working class are too poor to sue to recover lost wages. The rules are skewed and those in power know how to take advantage while presenting a friendly face.

One hopes that this is at least reported somewhere when it happens and it most certainly will.

for two nickels if it would get them mildly ahead.

"Then there's the percentage that said yes, for whatever reason — whether it's because they're young and uninformed, or because they want the money, or because they think it's an opportunity to move up in the company when other people turn it down."

SOMEBODY voted for him. Many were ambivalent. Either way, its their decision. If its wrong to deride those who dont want to perform, then its equally wrong to do the same to those who have their own opinion that they will. Their choice.
I mean, do you really think everyone who took part in Pres Obamas 2 inaugurations supported him? I doubt it, but they performed anyway with their groups/bands whatever. No, trump isnt obama, but the POSITION remains the same. We're going down a bad road with some of this stuff & its going to bite us in the ass in 2 years

get a bunch of unionized women to help him make his televised celebration seem not so sucky.

Sure, he's trying to pull a power move here, whip those unionized women into line, publicly. But still, the only way he can think of to make the inaugural and himself look good, is if 2 groups he despises participate.

Funny how the repuglinazis have to reach out to actual reality, sometimes. They can't live in their self-crafted alt-reality delusions 100% of the time.

And as a retired union member, when the Union says that its basically optional, my attitude fire me, it's about principles, and this serial predator has none when it comes to woman.

To the woman within the Rockettes Company there are millions of us who support you to NOT dance at this serial predator event, because we care about you

And below: This is a how this crowd reacts does every time there is a question, they answer a question with a question, and as soon as the media figures this out, it put this serial predator and his deplorable's on there heels

Mathews called him what he is "Fascistic" to this serial predator face
