Israeli ambassador: Obama more 'outrageous' than Trump

Source: The Hill

BY MARK HENSCH - 12/29/16 11:31 AM EST

Israel’s ambassador to the U.S. says President Obama displays more shocking behavior than President-elect Donald Trump.

Ambassador Ron Dermer's remarks come after Obama, in a rare move, declined to veto a United Nations Security Council resolution last week demanding an end to Israeli settlements in occupied territory.

“I know that a lot of the talk in the press for the first few days was how outrageous it is for a president-elect to weigh in and breach this policy of one president at a time,” Dermer told MSNBC’s Willie Geist on “Morning Joe” Thursday.

“But what I actually think is outrageous is for an outgoing administration, in the waning days of its presidency, to radically shift U.S. policy without the knowledge or support of the incoming administration,” Dermer added of last week’s resolution.

The constant war has brutalized both sides. The terror tactics that are used on both sides simply drives each side farther apart.

But the war is good for the arms manufacturers in Israel.

Sure, its a lot of money, but a few billion dollars isnt much for an entire country
The Palestinians, on the other hand, are among the world's largest per capita recipients of international foreign aid.

useful idiots. The President did not change our policy towards Israel. The last 6 president's have held that new settlements are a detriment to peace. Israel has zero interest in a two state solution. Their long term goal is to continue building illegal settlements to satisfy their growing population until the Palestinians are marginalized out of the region. Israel can only love Israel. They are only friendly with us as long as we dutifully act as their useful idiots. The End.

And he got into trouble in Israel for campaigning for Netanyahu while already Ambassador, against civil service rules. Should have been sacked at the time.
