Kawasaki to Stop Sponsoring 'Apprentice' Because of Trump Involvement
Source: NYT
As a reality star, Donald J. Trump turned The Apprentice into a television success. As president-elect, he may be costing it money.
Kawasaki, the Japanese motoring company, said on Wednesday that it would drop its sponsorship of The New Celebrity Apprentice on NBC as long as Mr. Trump retained his involvement in the show.
The companys decision came after it was featured by #GrabYourWallet, a grass-roots online campaign to boycott companies with ties to Mr. Trump, his family and his political donors.

A segment featuring Kawasaki was broadcast on Mondays episode. A Kawasaki spokesman, Kevin Allen, said that the company had never been informed that Mr. Trump was keeping his role as executive producer. The segment, Mr. Allen said, quickly generated concern from Kawasaki customers and dealers.

The first 7000-series train debuted on the Blue Line on April 14, 2015. 7000-series trains subsequently entered service on the Red line on June 8, 2015, the Orange Line in July, and the Green and Yellow Lines on August 17, 2015.
In June 2016, the 7000-series was taken out of service on Blue, Orange and Silver Lines after Metro discovered that trains could lose contact with the third rail on a steep curve, which caused a train to shut down outside Rosslyn Station in May 2016.
Cars 70007219 are in service.
They were built in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Kawasaki Heavy Industries Rolling Stock Company
As indicated by the company name, the company mainly produces railroad vehicles. Recently Kawasaki has received orders from customers in foreign countries, including Ireland and the United States. All products manufactured for the US rail market are sold through Kawasaki Rail Car Inc., another division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Because of substantial sales to the New York City Subway and various commuter lines, an overseas assembly plant has been established in Yonkers, New York (At present, most of the vehicles for the U.S. market are already produced there). Another assembly plant in Lincoln, Nebraska produces fully completed cars and "knocked down" cars that can be completed at the Yonkers facility.
