Trump and Putin discuss coordinating on ISIS and Syria, Kremlin says

President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin had their first official phone conversation Saturday, agreeing to partner in the fight against terrorism and the Arab-Israeli conflict and to forge stronger economic and political ties between their two countries, the Kremlin said.

At a moment of badly strained relations between the United States and Russia, Trump has hoped to cultivate “a great relationship” with Putin despite domestic pressures to maintain sanctions against Moscow.

Trump’s call with Putin was one in a series of conversations he had Saturday with world leaders as he seeks to develop a personal rapport with the heads of such traditional U.S. allies as France, Germany and Japan.

His conversation with Putin comes during a period of tension for the two countries brought by Russia’s role in the Ukrainian crisis and the war in Syria, as well as the conclusion by U.S. intelligence agencies that Putin ordered systematic hacking of Democratic emails to tip the presidential election in Trump’s favor.

Text of the NSC memorandum, which was released after Trump signed it, justified changes to the council by stating that "security threats facing the United States in the 21st century transcend international boundaries."

"Accordingly, the United States Government's decision-making structures and processes to address these challenges must remain equally adaptive and transformative," the memorandum stated.

The White House thinks the changes will make the NSC more adaptive to modern threats. Trump said the changes would bring “a lot of efficiency and, I think, a lot of additional safety.”

The changes affirm the ascent of Bannon, the former executive chairman of Breitbart, a conservative website that is popular with white nationalists, who has emerged as Trump’s political consigliere and the keeper of the president’s populist flame.

Bannon has already been playing a major role in directing Trump’s foreign policy, administration officials say, and joined the president in the Oval Office on Saturday for his calls with Putin and several other world leaders.

Steve Bannon is now in the position to make national security calls.

With all of the the boasting of our hallowed institutions,the dogmatic themes of truth justice and the American way, the constant propaganda assisted by Hollywood, the lauding of the NSA, CIA, and FBI as being instilled with super powers...all of it failed on November 8, 2016. What Putin did, with the election of Trump, was to reveal America itself as an alternative fact. All of America's institutions that were created to guard democracy were exposed as illusions. That's what Putin really did. If any of our institutions actually worked, and that also includes, the Fourth Estate, there is no way an incompetent, ignorant, psychopath, could have been elected to the presidency of the United States.

9. My trump loving neighbor has at least three young men over 18 and under 25 living...

on his property. Of course he won't be called up if there is a draft, but all three of the young men could be.

I would be surprised if only reservist would be called to accompany a regular military this time.

And I am curious if the evangelicals will send their kiddies to fight along side of russian troops.
