21st Century Fox chiefs James and Lachlan Murdoch—CEO and chairman, respectively—are the latest corporate leaders to come out against Donald Trump's executive order banning citizens of seven predominately Muslim nations from coming into the United States for 90 days and halting the Syrian refugee program for 120 days.

"21st Century Fox is a global company, proudly headquartered in the U.S., founded by–and comprising at all levels of the business – immigrants," the brothers wrote in an internal memo on Monday, referring to their father, Australian immigrant Rupert Murdoch, the current chairman of Fox News. "We deeply value diversity and believe immigration is an essential part of America’s strength."

The memo continues to offer assistance and support—including legal aid—to any Fox employee affected by the travel ban, though it falls short in disapproving of the president and his policies to the degree of other industry leaders, such as Google's Sergey Brin, Y Combinators Sam Altman and Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg.

2. Murdoch Sons Need to Tell Fox

If the sons truly mean what they say, they need to make changes at Fox to stop the anti-immigrant stories and the multitude of lies that pass for news on their network. Words without actions are meaningless.

They must condemn that acts of twitler as cowardly. We have rejected the impulse to hide under covers and act in all meaningful manners as the terrorists would hope us to act. The cowards are playing into the terrorists and openly denying what makes us a powerful and righteous nation.

I know I stopped paying attention to the WSJ after Murdoch bought Dow Jones to get ownership of that paper. But I do expect, as I posted in the thread I linked to, that Murdoch has been at the "doing what's expedient for himself and family" business longer than Drumpf.
