Poll: 4 in 10 support impeaching Trump

Source: MSN/The Hill

Forty percent of registered voters support impeaching President Trump, according to a poll released Thursday from the left-leaning Public Policy Polling (PPP).

Nearly half of voters, 48 percent, are opposed to impeaching Trump, and 12 percent remain unsure, according to the poll.

Pollsters also found that a majority of voters, 52 percent, would prefer former President Obama in his old role rather than Trump; 43 percent prefer Trump, and 5 percent are uncertain.

"But Donald Trump's making history once again with a sizeable share of voters already wanting to impeach him, and a majority of voters wishing they could have Barack Obama back."

Given the election assistance of Russia, Trump's continued conflicts, unstable dealings with world leaders, appointment of cabinet members with little experience or expertise, his efforts to intimidate the media, and incredible willingness to blatantly lie, IN THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF HIS PRESIDENCY, I am not really surprised.

The place where it really tips against Trump is when his true believers start to peel off when they realize they've been betrayed by their hero.

How long do you think that will take?

it is almost as if Trump knows this is inevitable and is trying to ram through as much harmful legislation as possible. Supposedly his endgame before the election was to start mining dittohead type people for $$ with his own station...imagine what a martyr he would be for the rt wing if he was impeached (not to mentions fascists all over the world). Wow...

One third of Americans think President Barack Obama should be impeached, a new poll says.

According to a CNN/ORC International poll released Friday, 33 percent of Americans think the president should be impeached and removed from office, compared with 65 percent who say they don’t support impeachment. Fifty-seven percent of Republicans say they support impeaching Obama, compared with just 35 percent of independent voters and 13 percent of Democrats.

14. Impeach Obama Groups Already Forming
Fri Feb 3, 2017, 08:52 AM
Feb 2017
President-elect Barack Obama won't be inaugurated for another ten weeks, but groups are already forming on the Internet to call for his impeachment.

Several groups exist on the social networking site Facebook, calling for the removal of Obama from office for a number of reasons, including planning to not uphold the Constitution of the United States and campaign finance violations.

Impeach Barack Obama was formed under the assumption that the winner of Tuesday's election will waste little time in violating his oath of office and already has more than 2,500 members on Facebook:

do you think were actually involved in that? I suspect 1-2%. Here it's already at 40% who want to get rid of the orange menace. It's not as if I want him impeached - Pence would be even worse. But I'm for making him as weak as he possibly can be without actually leaving. A fine line to be sure.

it seems they are just done to make us feel good and give us a false sense of security/superiority but they have no effect and totally failed us before the election. Why even post them. Polls don't vote. All a post like this does is titillate & distract. We've got incipient fascism in the White House & enablers of that fascism ruling Congress and the so-called opposition can barely block the worst of the appointments. What good is an unreliable poll going to do. Polls show a huge percentage believe all of Trump's fake news lies too. People just give knee-jerk reactions to pollsters but in the end the polls totally failed in the last election so WTH why

He suggested that Trump and his GOP cronies would do SO much egregious damage, and Americans will become so disgusted that they will move to the left as Californians did after Arnold left the governorship. Now California is firmly progressive at every level and it is doing very well. The author suggested that America might do the same thing.

I think this article (sorry I've forgotten where it is so no link) may be right. I just hope the damage is not TOO great for us to fix.

Just with global warming we could be toast. Some say we're already fucked. I hope not.
