Los Angeles marchers protest Trump orders on oil pipelines
Updated 4:02 pm, Sunday, February 5, 2017

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Hundreds of marchers are taking to the streets of downtown Los Angeles to demonstrate against President Donald Trump's executive order fast-tracking the Dakota Access and Keystone XL oil pipelines.

Protesters hoisting signs and chanting slogans gathered Sunday near Pershing Square and began marching about a mile for a rally at the Edward Roybal Federal Building.

Police say the gathering is peaceful and no disruptions or arrests have been reported.

Opponents say the proposed $3.8 billion Dakota Access pipeline threatens the water supply and sacred sites of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

I went to the airport to join a protest yesterday and no one showed up. If I had heard in advance that the protest was over in downtown L.A. I could have gone there. Can't someone come up with a board where we can post the anti Trump protests.

https://www.indivisibleguide.com/action-calendar (part of the "Indivisible" movement).

There may be local groups of Indivisible that have specific protests planned (you can search a local member group within your zip). Seems much of it is being organized on facebook.

DU has an "Activism" category of groups and IMHO, one should be setup for what you are describing. There are some things posted in the generic "Activist Headquarters" group here - http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=forum&id=1011

Also some of the DU state groups might have some things posted as well...
