One of President Trump’s longtime friends made a striking move on Sunday: After talking privately with the president over drinks late Friday, Christopher Ruddy publicly argued that Trump should replace his White House chief of staff.

“A lot of people have been saying, ‘Look, Donald has some problems,’ and I think he realizes that he’s got to make some changes going forward,” Ruddy said in an interview with The Washington Post.

Ruddy went on to detail his critique of White House chief of staff Reince Priebus: “It’s my view that Reince is the problem. I think on paper Reince looked good as the chief of staff — and Donald trusted him — but it’s pretty clear the guy is in way over his head. He’s not knowledgeable of how federal agencies work, how the communications operations work. He botched this whole immigration rollout. This should’ve been a win for Donald, not two or three weeks of negative publicity.”.......................

Feb 2017

He is one of the FEW who actually does know how DC works. So there is another reason they are going to dump him. It is BECAUSE he is one of the few establishment types. A voice of partial sanity? Which Bannon and Miller, after seeing him today, would never want. They want to blow it all up. Literally. Like, I'm betting they are pushing Donny to defy the judiciary, like his hero Andrew Jackson did.

Get rid of Priebus, the only party sane one would be Kuschner, who is not only inexperienced in Govt and DC, but also doesn't seem to be all that smart or crafty. Bannon and Miller would run circles around him.

Getting rid of any voices of opposition they can get rid of, defanging Kuschner, keeping Tillerson and Kelly in the dark as they have been doing equals complete control of the man who is more interested in a months-old feud with Mark Cuban than in North Korea shooting missiles, a man who is a narcissist and perhaps has Alzheimers also.

See? Bannon/Miller = complete control of the US government while Trump tweets away and worries about crowd size and SNL. What I find interesting is that there were rumors of Priebus wanting to quit right away and his good pal Paul Ryan convinced him to stay. If they get rid of Priebus, what will Ryan do?

They can blame each other into extinction for all I care, but I don't think it a coincidence that they are choosing to blame the one "establishment" (former RNC chairman) guy in the group.

Preibus spent years at the RNC and also in Wisc politics. He's probably one of the few around Trump who has a clue how gov't works.

Ruddy, otoh, spent years working for Scaife's Pgh Tribune-Review trying to prove Bill Clinton had Vince Foster killed. But maybe Ruddy will get Donald to have Sessions re-open the investigation.

they are very incapable of doing it! I have to believe when he hires people for his business, he doesn't just hire a buddy! He desperately needs people who are VERY EXPERIENCED in gov't ops AND working inside the Washington bubble. People with the ability to work with Congress and get them on board with the Prez's plans. He also hase to trust them enough to listesn when they say "You're wrong on this one!"

With the right people surrounding him, his own ineptitude could stay hidden.

Of course, anyone with an ego as BIG as the Con's cannot do any of that.

Sure, Weasel Reince is as twisted, evil, and incompetent as the rest of the repugs. But he's head & shoulders above anyone dRumpf brought on board.

Wonder what kind of blowback dRumpf will face from Congressional repugs if he cans Priebus. He's there for the non-dRumpf aligned economic interests in the repug party.

And we get to hear from 'a friend of drump'? Don't know this Ruddy, but the dozen high profile 'friends' I can think of are all super mutants. He's so abnormal, every 'friend' is a self-contained freakshow.

Not that I care, but at least as the official scapegoat
He would not only have the opportunity to immediately GTFO of this Trumpian Nightmare on Pennsylvania Ave....
but he would have a slim (better than none) chance that he could possibly regain a bit of credibility once the administration implodes...
