Bannon 'Livid' With Breitbart For Report Suggesting Priebus Is On His Way Out

Source: TPM

White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said Wednesday that he was "livid" with Breitbart News for publishing a report suggesting that President Donald Trump's chief of staff Reince Priebus could lose his job.

Bannon, who took a leave of absence from his role as Breitbart News chairman to serve as Trump's campaign CEO, told CNN that he was "not upset — livid."

Breitbart News published the report by Matthew Boyle, titled "As Flynn Resigns, Priebus Future In Doubt As Trump Allies Circulate List of Alternate Chief of Staff Candidates," on Tuesday after White House national security adviser Michael Flynn stepped down.

Bannon called the report "totally untrue.".........................................

The report (planted propaganda)
1. makes an attempt at legitimizing Breitbart as an investigative news source that is supposedly willing to poke at Bannon and Priebus (and Trump),
2. gives Bannon a chance to fake a united front with Preibus (when he's about to shiv him for reason you wrote - consolidating power, eliminating the other faction)

We can only hope that he gets to feel superior in prison someday, consolidating power in his little prison faction, getting special assignments to work in the prison library.

This means Breitbart is not credible or if it turns out to be completely true then Bannon has no credibility. The problem is that I know that neither is credible and this makes my brain hurt. Meep morp...does not compute!

Captain Kirk: Everything Harry tells you is a lie. Remember that. Everything Harry tells you is a lie.

Harcourt Fenton Mudd: Now listen to this carefully, Norman. I am... lying.

Norman: You say you are lying, but if everything you say is a lie, then you are telling the truth, but you cannot tell the truth because everything you say is a lie, but you lie... You tell the truth but you cannot for you lie... illogical! Illogical! Please explain! You are human. Only humans can explain their behavior! Please explain!

Captain Kirk: [giving him the same statement the androids have repeatedly given him several times before] I am not programmed to respond in that area.

I'm sure the thing that bothers him most is that Reince Preibus could leave, which would create one less person to have Trump's ear over Steve Bannon.

I'm pretty sure this entire piece was written sarcastically.
