De Blasio to be interviewed by federal prosecutors in fund-raising probe

Source: New York Daily News

Mayor de Blasio will be interviewed by federal prosecutors Friday about the corruption probe into his administration.

The mayor is slated to meet with prosecutors in U.S. Attorney Preet Bhararas office though its not clear specifically what topics their questions will cover, a source familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal.

The mayor did spend hours at his lawyers office earlier this week prepping for the imminent meeting.

Bharara is investigating whether City Hall gave favorable treatment to donors to the mayor's now-defunct non-profit, Campaign for One New York.

Preet is going after every politician (Democratic or Republican) he can get his hands on. There is no Democratic alternative currently ready to step in if something unfortunate happens to De Blasio.

I have my issues with him but I do not want a Republican to be my mayor.

Christie, Giuliani have both done worst things but they get to stay in office.

This is not news, just Preet going after him. It is a dirty state in general. Preet got Skelos (and son) and Silver already, two of the highest ranking politicians in NY.

Other than bringing down guys for decades of corruption, which obviously sets up his career in politics. Skelos was the highest ranking R in NY. 68 years old, got 5 years and a $500K fine. Preet had been pushing for 15 years 👮
