A White House spokesperson said Tuesday that President Donald Trump condemns "racially or religiously motivated attacks" like the triple shooting in Kansas that left one Indian man dead.
"It looked like it was racially motivated," White House deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders wrote in an email to TPM. "The President condemns these and any other racially or religiously motivated attacks in the strongest terms."
Sanders told reporters the same thing during an off-camera gaggle earlier Tuesday afternoon.
On Tuesday the FBI, the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division and the U.S. Attorney's Office opened a hate crime investigation into the triple shooting in Olathe, Kansas.

(182,788 posts)President Trump reportedly said "sometimes it's the reverse" when asked about the wave of recent anti-Semitic incidents across the country.
Trump made the comments to a group of state attorneys general Tuesday, an attendee told BuzzFeed News.
"He just said, 'Sometimes it's the reverse, to make people or to make others look bad,' and he used the word 'reverse,' I would say two to three times in his comments," Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro told BuzzFeed after the meeting.
"He did correctly say at the top that it was reprehensible."

(7,403 posts)This is a predictable and predicted consequence of Trump's own words during the campaign. He and he alone is responsible for what is happening right now so time to own up.

He brought this on, but being a small man with a small mind he doesn't know how to control what he's done.
And since he's nothing more than a narcissist, he is emotionally incapable of confronting what a loser he is, and his country is, by placing such a piece of garbage in this position.
