Tony Blair has attended a secret meeting at the White House

Source: The Telegraph

Tony Blair has attended a secret meeting at the White House amid claims he is in discussions to become an advisor to Donald Trump

Tony Blair's spokesman has refused to be drawn on claims that the former prime minister is seeking to become US President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy.

It comes as Mr Blair attended a secret meeting at the White House on Wednesday with Mr Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner, who is married to Mr Trump’s daughter Ivanka.

It is the third time the pair have met up since last September and on Saturday it was reported that the pair were discussing the possibility of Mr Blair becoming Mr Trump's Middle East peace envoy.

A spokesman for Mr Blair has refused to comment on it, adding: "I'm not going to comment on private conversations."

They'll either bribe him or try to discredit him and somehow British intel by association. Trump slams intel community for Iraq war. The UK complicitous in cherry picking intel. Dosier about to hit the airwaves?

When I first read this my immediate reaction was "Oh shit, we must be going to war soon". Which, barring something drastic going down first, I am truly expecting. The closer we get to the big event, the more urgent getting the war started becomes for them.

The PNAC agenda was interrupted for 8 years. They're more than anxious to resume.

It's unlikely that Blair would have access to any information, that is current! Even if he did, he would be in violation of the Official Secrets Act 1989, and would be subject to arrest, and possible prison time!

Wendi Deng's last husband is from all indications, Donald Trump's biggest supporter.
Wendi Deng introduced Ivanka and Jared Kushner.
Ivanka is one of the trustees of Wendi Deng's children's trust.
Wendi Deng apparently had an affair with Tony Blair, the godfather of her children.
Wendi Deng is rumoured to have slept with Putin (this one seems weak, but fun).

Do we not have anyone in the United States capable of being the US peace envoy to the Middle East?

Tony Blair denies pitch to be Trump's Middle East envoy

From the section UK

Tony Blair has not pitched to become a Middle East envoy for US President Donald Trump, a spokesman has said.

The denial comes after the Mail on Sunday reported that the former British prime minister met the president's son-in-law and key adviser, Jared Kushner, at the White House last week. The paper claims the meetings were to discuss working for Mr Trump.

Mr Blair's office said the story was an "invention" and that he continues to work for peace "in a private capacity".

Which includes the US, EU etc on middle eastern peace. Yesterday, there was a long story in Haaretz where Herzog appears the source that after Netanyahu killed a Kerry led secret effort in 2016, that there was an October effort for a less ambiguous competing plan that Blair was involved with. It also included Israel forming a unity government. In the end, Netanyahu walked away from that as well. It was closer to the regional approach Netanyahu spoke of with Trump.

My opinion is that peace defined as 2 states will not happen with Netanyahu leading Israel. The two secret plans that he walked away from explain the US abstention and Kerry's speech. It also led to the Paris conference pretty much signing on to Kerry's plan with the blessing of the French, whose own plan Netanyahu hated and rejected oUT of hand.

Another reason why this is likely to be fake news as reported. Blair could be employed by a supranational body such as the UN, NATO or (until Brexit is finalized) the EU; but not, I think, by an individual overseas leader.

Not that I'd believe much coming from Blair's lying mouth; but I somehow doubt that he would want to work for Trump: he knows that this would disadvantage him in many other places. And I doubt that Trump or his RW handlers would want to employ someone who was even in the most nominal sense a Socialist.
