GOP to Introduce Health Care Replacement This Week

Source: NBC News

Republicans will introduce their much-awaited bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act this week, a senior House Republican aide told NBC News. "We are now at the culmination of a years-long process to keep our promise to the American people," Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan's spokeswoman, AshLee Strong, told NBC News.

The plan's anticipated release follows a series of town hall meetings across the country that saw angry constituents berating Republican lawmakers over health care policy. Some Republican senators have already threatened to vote it against it, including Rand Paul of Kentucky, who lambasted the bill-writing process as overly secretive.

"The only copy we've seen is from the media," Paul said last week. "Now we're told it's being classified and the hearing is like a security clearance hearing — you have to have security clearance and permission and have to be on the committee to see the bill."

A draft bill obtained by NBC News two weeks ago indicated that Republicans intend to roll back much of President Barack Obama's signature achievement, replacing it with tax credits and state grants.

Reporter - "How is this plan supposed to work and be better than the ACA, since it cuts benefits and uses the savings to fund tax cuts to the rich?"

Republican - "Well, you know, uh, Freedom."

I want them to have to get there health coverage the same away they want everyone else has to have it this country, you live in state and when it runs out of money from block grants, go to the fucking end of the line and you only fucking get $4500 for a deductible and have to pay out of pocket $80,000 for a heart attack or cardiac arrest.

FU you and your tax credits, they don't mean shit, and your block grants is like throwing the baby out with the bath water

Fuck them

Rather convenient that the super top secret healthcare miracle plan and the
New Improved Not A Muslim Ban EO are in the media spotlight
...while apparently some DHS employees were told Friday afternoon that they needed to "work from home" on Monday (tomorrow)....

I wonder what they will find When they return on Tuesday...
big blue tarps & construction similar to that found in the State Department office areas??

Pink slips in their mailboxes?

Surely there will be calls & inquiries regarding the "travel" Ban EO when it rolls out tomorrow...

Will Bannon & Kushner be answering the phones?

Or just letting them all go to straight to a "voice mailbox that has not been set up yet" ?

I've heard about 1-3 Senators that might not vote for it but under pressure how much you wanna bet they cave.

They'll have hell to pay for it though in some cases

I think I understand the root cause of their problem: they WERE going to rename "Obamacare" to "Trumpcare" and it took them six weeks to figure out it's not actually called that.

Horrifying. At least in MN we can surely get by with state grants for our healthcare plans (or we would find the $$ somehow, I have a feeling). Most states aren't so lucky though.
This is just awful.

to see it? This seems an obvious abuse of the classification process.
