Mitch McConnell When Asked If Mexico Will Pay For Border Wall: 'Uh, No'

Source: Mediaite

10:28 am, March 9th, 2017

Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said during a Politico Playbook event Thursday morning that Mexico was not actually going to pay for President Donald Trump‘s proposed border wall.

When asked about a wall, McConnell said that “there are some places along the border where that’s probably not the best way to secure the border.” When asked further if he believed Mexico would pay for it, McConnell responded bluntly: “Uh, no.”

McConnell’s statement stands in contrast to Trump’s campaign promises that he would build a wall and that Mexico would pay for it. Trump most recently repeated that claim in January, leading the Mexican president to cancel a planned meeting in Washington D.C.

20 deep water wells and have a NEW GREAT LAKE & green-up the DESERT, on their side. Thanks for reservoir wall Republicans.

USA side will remain the same fracked out, 100 mile wide scrub land, detention camps full of undocumented woman & children REFUGEES- costing Americans 2 trillion dollars a year to pay all the 'for profit' contractors.

Walls aren't going to stop anything when planes and boats exist. More drugs are smuggled into the states from the seas than by any other means of transportation. And why do that when pharmaceutical companies are the ones responsible for most of our nation's drug addicts?

A medieval "solution" that, of course, lends itself to medieval workarounds.

And the Trump administration wants to gut the Coast Guard to pay for it - which makes this an even more stupid-ass idea because more drugs come in by sea than by land. If he really were serious, he'd ditch the wall idea and strengthen the Coast Guard.

17. Kind of reminds me of the comedic Obama-Romney debate.

When Mitt decried the lack of battleships built since the early 20th century. Obama reminded him that we have subs and aircraft carriers now. Big laughs were had at Romney's expense.

These people don't read old books. They just don't read, period.

Who can accept all kind of contradictions by various leaders. They are all right, no matter if they give different answers to the same question. and Democrats are always wrong (even if facts back them up)

So we're going to pay for a $14-20 billion wall that won't stop anyone from coming into the U.S. Why do Republicans like to waste taxpayer money?
